The lurid role was brought to life by American actress Cassandra Peterson, who since childhood was enthralled by horror-themed toys instead of ‘Barbie’ dolls. While fans are all praises for her cannon talent, it was only by chance that she was noticed by a producer.
Films like ‘To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story’ and ‘Pee-wee’s Big Adventure’ made Peterson a TV regular, but not many know that real-life Elvira is also an impeccable singer. In her early 70s, the thespian is still active on-screen and is a brave advocate of the ‘Me Too’ movement.
