Celebrities You Thought Are Long Gone But They Are Not Planning Their Retirement Just Yet

Celebrities come and go over the years, and we often forget about stars we used to love and idolize at one time during our lives. Sometimes, we even regard them as ‘dead’ if we haven’t heard about them in a while! However, you may be surprised to hear that some of the greatest actors, singers and other well-known public personalities are still very much alive and kicking! That’s why we’ve come up with this list to figure out who is still working or enjoying life in the next chapter of their lives – in retirement.

Eva Marie Saint – 96

At 96 years old, Eva Marie Saint has had a super successful career for over seventy years! She got her first role in 1947 and quickly rose to stardom after landing roles in Grand Prix and The Russians Are Coming. She then appeared in On The Waterfront, where her amazing performance allowed her to receive an Academy Award. She has acquired a $20 million net worth over the years, but is still adding to the fund today as she continues to act to this day! Not much has been heard of her recently though, but she has always had a more quiet and subdued life compared to others in the industry.

Tommy Cook – 90

Another successful child actor was Tommy Cook, who not only was handsome, but he also boasted a very beautiful voice.  In the ’50s, he offered his services United States Marine Corps as a corporal. He then worked on radio stations and he also ventured into acting, even lending his voice to many animated series of his time, like the popular The Superman/Aquaman Hour of Adventure.  Cook disappeared from the industry in the early ’70s, but he probably never required a home loan, as he had several acting credits by then.

Nehemiah Persoff – 101

Did you know that Nehemiah Persoff worked as a subway electrician before fully diving into acting? The Palestinian-born actor was in the cast of several TV shows and films back in the ’50s and the ’60s. Most people know him as Papa from Yentl, where he appeared opposite famous actress/musician Barbra Streisand. Persoff retired from the industry in 1999, and since then, he has been using his bank account to enjoy his biggest passion. Besides acting, he is quite passionate about painting. He’s now a few months away from being a centenarian.
