The “Downton Abbey” Castle – $400 Million

The location where the historical TV series Downton Abbey, created by Julian Fellowes, was filmed was the Highclere Castle in the region of New Hampshire. This many-centuries-old estate has probably seen some restorations over the centuries to preserve its history but it still one of the most beautiful castles in England. It has a Jacobethan style and was built by the architect Charles Barry. During summers, its doors are opened to visitors who can get a chance to see where their favorite series was filmed. The current owner of Highclere Castle is the Carnarvon family.
