The house where the 1989 classic National Lampoon Christmas Vacation was filmed was built on the backlot of Warner Bros. in Los Angeles, a bit far away from the supposed quiet suburb of Chicago. On top of that, it has gone through several restorations over the years as it was used for filming many other movies and TV shows such as Small Soldiers, American Beauty, Moonlight, Bewitched, and even ER. Although it requires constant maintenance, it’s likely that the house would be used for many more movies in the future.
