When Liza Minelli said ‘I do’ to David Gest at the Regent Hotel in New York, she did so before 850 people. The Maid of Honor was actress Elizabeth Taylor and the Best Man was Michael Jackson. It sure sounded like something out of a made-up story, right? There was a 60-piece orchestra and Tony Bennett, Natalie Cole, and Stevie Wonder entertained the guests. That was not all. The couple spent a whopping amount on the floral arrangements and $40K for the cake. Can you imagine splurging this much money just on a cake?!
