Back in 2005, the world saw the union of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas—two iconic actors that the public loved to see unite. They were so fancy as to design their invitations using holograms and invisible ink. Selected guests were invited including acting greats Jack Nicholson, Sean Connery, and Michael Caine. The ceremony took place at the luxurious New York Plaza Hotel, guarded by fifty rent-a-cops. The bride’s tiara cost $300K and her wedding gown cost $140K! Talk about lavish! BBC dubbed the high-profile nuptials which cost about $1.9M as the nuptials of the year.
