Melissa Sue Anderson – Little House on the Prairie, Born In 1962
Little House on the Prairie is an American drama TV series that aired on NBC from 1974 to 1983. It met the needs of a worldwide audience with its depiction of the life of a countryside American family from the 1870s and 1880s. Melissa Sue Anderson played the older sister Mary Ingalls, and although she was still a child back then, her performance was so iconic that even now, several decades after the show’s finale, she is still remembered as the little Mary from the prairie. In the fourth season of the show, Mary went blind and Melissa’s portraying was so convincing that she got an Emmy!
