Her beauty did not go unnoticed in the ’80s. In fact, she became one of the poster girls up in virtually every boy’s room during the decade. She appeared on the 1982 hit Blade Runner and became a household name when she became Tom Hanks’s fish-tailed leading lady on Splash! She also appeared on Steel Magnolias and Wall Street. However, the career upswing didn’t continue into the ’90s, although she did continue to work in films. In the last few years, she landed headlines after being arrested for trespassing after protesting against the Keystone Oil Pipeline. She made the news again after she revealed in 2013 that she was autistic.
