Rebecca Romijn musste jeden Tag acht Stunden bei der Visagistin und Bodypainterin sitzen, um sich in Mystique in X-Men zu verwandeln. Die Körperfarbe bestand aus Silikonschuppen, die von Kopf bis Fuß auf ihren Körper aufgetragen wurden.
