Katherine Helmond became quite famous after portraying women regarded as strict matriarchs. One such role was the character Jessica Tate who she portrayed in ABC’s 70s sitcom Soap and Mona Robinson in Who’s The Boss?. She tried her luck at the silver screen as well, and while she mostly landed supporting roles, she was quite successful, having appeared in Alfred Hitchcock’s Family Plot among other films. Helmond had also received quite the impressive paychecks by voice-acting, like when she voiced in all three Disney Cars films, with the last one being in 2017.
