Hardy Kruger’s life had been a rough one. The German actor was drafted into the Nazi SS squad, but after he refused to obey to the extremists’ orders, he fled and hid until the war was over. Today, he’s one of the most acclaimed German entertainers, having also appeared in worldwide productions such as Hatari! and A Bridge Too Far. He retired in the ’80s and his financial planning in retirement was quite surprising. He now works as a writer and has released a lot of books in the past decades.
