Johnny Crawford was one of the very first Disney’s mouseketeers when the concept was firts introduced in 1955. He was indeed one of the early blueprints for memorable childhood characters that may have inspired more of Disney’s later creations. Starting his career as a child actor, Crawford was very active in pursuing multiple roles and among his notable appearances include The Riffleman, Little Boy Lost, The Lone Ranger, The Loretta Young Show and his excellent performance earned him an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the young age of 13. Crawford has slowed down in his acting due to his age factor, although he did venture into the orchestra industry leading his own band named Johnny Crawford Orchestra or JCO before he officially retired.
