Celebrities You Thought Are Long Gone But They Are Not Planning Their Retirement Just Yet

Herman Wouk – 103

American literature owes a lot to Herman Wouk, whose novels have been translated into many languages. The legendary author has been dubbed ‘America’s Tolstoy,’ while he won a Pulitzer Prize for his book The Caine Mutiny. Most of his novels revolve around WWII and other historical events. The 103-year-old author loves living away from the spotlight, and we’re guessing he’s a man striving for simplicity, avoiding deluxe houses and such assets. In 2016, he released his final book, a memoir called Sailor and Fiddler: Reflections of a 100-Year-Old Author.
