Alanis Morissette & Ryan Reynolds – 2002 to 2007
They were so close to getting married yet their story did not make it past their engagement. Alanis Morissette met Ryan Reynolds while they were both guests at Drew Barrymore’s birthday party in 2002. They became engaged in 2004, however, decided to end their relationship three years after. The decision to part was said to be mutual, yet it was evident by Morissette’s music that she was heartbroken by their separation. During an interview with The Guardian in summer 2018, Alanis admitted that she feels like apologizing to her former beaus for including them in her songs.
