Aaliyah found success in her career as a singer as early as her teen years. When she was just 10, she stole the spotlight on the TV show Star Search, thanks to her angelic voice. She worked in projects with famous artists like Timbaland and Missy Elliott. She also debuted on films in the movie Romeo Must Die. So fans were devastated when they learned that she and her entourage were in a plane crash that killed all of them. Defense attorneys later found out that the pilot was unlicensed and was high on drugs while flying the aircraft.
