224. Roddy Piper – CARDIOPULMONARY ARREST
A legend to wrestling fans who also achieved cult status through the classic They Live, Roddy “Rowdy” Piper was a man larger than life. He also had a hilarious role on It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Although he mostly acted as a heel during his wrestling career, his personality ensured his popularity. During his career, which spanned for about 16 years, he played hard on his Scottish heritage and made it a part of his signature entrance to the ring. He died on July 31, 2015, at age 61, of a cardiopulmonary arrest brought on by hypertension.
