Laura Branigan fue más conocida por sus éxitos musicales Self Control y lacanción inmortal llamada Gloria. Falleció el 26 de agosto del 2004 debido a un aneurisma cerebral ventricular. Había sufrido de dolores de cabeza durante semanas, pero no acudió al médico para revisarlo y el ataque la tomó por sorpresa. Puede que haya sido famosa en los años 80, pero sus temas son conocidos por las nuevas generaciones gracias a que aparecieron en videojuegos de la saga de Grand Theft Auto.
