A Serendipitous Encounter
The road was filled with traffic, as everyone, including Dennis, was eager to get home after a long day. He worked far from home, but he didn’t mind—driving was his escape. He was jamming to his favorite songs in the car and enjoying the solitude when he spotted a hitchhiker.
Dennis typically zoomed past such people without a glance, but this time was different. A young girl stood by the roadside, appearing lost and vulnerable. It was odd since hitchhikers were usually adults. Something about her made him unable just to pass by.
