Tennessee Williams was a well-known name during the ’50s. He was considered as one of the greatest playwrights of the 20th century, having written classics such as The Glass Menagerie and Sweet Bird of Youth. One of his most famous work probably is A Streetcar Named Desire. Williams was an inductee of the American Theater Hall of Fame. Sources had said that aside from his drug and alcohol addiction, he also had a battle with depression and had to undergo psychoanalysis. He passed away in 1983 after choking on a medicine bottle cap.
