Sal Mineo was like the Zac Efron of the ’50s. He was a teen heartthrob who was well-known for his roles in films like Rebel Without a Cause and Giant. His role on Rebel Without A Cause earned him an Academy Award nomination. He was nominated again for his performance on Exodus. He was sadly involved in a homicide where he was stabbed to death in his own parking lot. Despite being only stabbed once, it was more than enough as the blade directly reached his heart.
