163. Heath Ledger – CARDIAC ARREST
Heath Ledger was at the peak of his career when he died. He had just finished filming his iconic role as the Joker in The Dark Knight. Ledger had been battling insomnia, anxiety, and common cold for the longest time. When he overdosed on prescription drugs, it led to a cardiac arrest, and later ended his life at age 28. He is survived by his daughter Matilda. After his death, Ledger was awarded numerous recognitions for his iconic Joker role. Amongst these, he earned the Academy Award as Best Supporting Actor.
