Famous People Who Died & You Had No Idea

222. Doris Roberts – STROKE

Doris Roberts became famous during the ’50s and ’60s with films like A Lovely Way To Die and The Honeymoon Killers. But she managed to remain a popular actress all the way to the ’00s through Everybody Loves Raymond. There, she played the part of an overbearing mother-in-law, who happened to be the mom of the star of the show, Ray Romano. Her character provided great comedy material. She was also an activist, both for animal rights and through the Children With AIDS Foundation. In 2016, she died in her sleep, after suffering a stroke at the age of 90.
