Famous People Who Died & You Had No Idea

Leonard Nimoy – SMOKING-RELATED DISEASE

Leonard Nimoy was the first ever Mr. Spock in the show Star Trek. Nimoy had a very successful career and went a long way from his humble beginnings as an acting teacher. His character on Star Trek had such an impact on his life that he published two autobiographies regarding his experiences as Mr. Spock. But it’s just sad how we have to face the fact that some people can just be unlucky when it comes to their health. Nimoy later passed away in February 2015 due to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. His sickness was attributed to his heavy smoking, which he gave up decades before he fell ill.
