Former Child Stars You’d Never Ever Recognize On The Street – We Reveal Who Made It Through Childhood Successfully

Edward Furlong – Spent Adulthood In Rehab

He celebrated his breakthrough as John Connor in Terminator 2: Judgement Day and we really thought that anyone you asked though that this child star would be a huge celebrity for a lifetime.

He even won the Saturn and MTV Award for his role in Terminator and was one of our favorite teen idols in the 1990s. Filmmakers loved him so much and so they booked him for movies like American Heart, American History X and Detroit Rock City where he starred next to Hollywood’s most famous actors like Jeff Bridges, Edward Norton, Kathy Bates and so many others.

Unfortunately, Furlong’s career took the wrong direction in the new millennium. For the third Terminator film he wasn’t even considered again. Do you wonder what happened? Well, the former child star was arrested multiple times for the possession of drugs like heroin and cocaine. Furthermore, he had a serious alcohol problem that he couldn’t manage. He visited rehab centers multiple times but ended up drinking alcohol again and again so that many directors questioned his dedication to his career. Some even doubt that he ever was sober on the set. But it seems like eventually he weened himself off of his addiction and actually made a comeback in 2015 as Fixer in the 2015 Star Trek: Renegades movie. He also appeared in the end 1990s in the movie American History X.
