Gene Hackman – $27 Million, Monterey
Award-winning actor Gene Hackman was known as the tough guy in Hollywood for his strong-man type of roles. He won an Oscar for his performance in Unforgiven back in the ‘90s. Although the actor has been in retirement for more than ten years now, he is still remembered for plenty of his roles, including his portrayal of Lex Luthor in the old Superman movies. His former home in Monterey was sold for $27M which certainly adds value to the entire area. An interesting fact: the place used to be a part of an even bigger compound! Gene certainly likes huge estates!
