Bruce McLaren, Deceased – $3.6M

For many, Bruce McLaren was the most important figure in the world of racing ever. Not only was he a splendid driver, but he also made pioneering improvements in racing in terms of engineering and inventions. His tragic death in 1970, when he crashed while he tested one of his CanAm prototypes, was mourned by everyone who loved seeing him on the track. He bought this property in Surrey, London back in the ’60s, and finished building it in 1967. The house measured 2,964 square feet, with six bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a garden. In 2018, it was put on the market for $3.6 million.
