On-Screen Sanctuaries: Exploring the Most Memorable Houses in Cinema and Television

The “Forrest Gump” House – $109 Million

The crew of one of Hollywood’s classic blockbusters, Forrest Gump, didn’t rent the house for the movie but actually built one from scratch in South Carolina, although it was initially supposed to be in Alabama. A very impressive feat since the house looks extremely well done. Missing any home warranty and many other regulations, the house had to be torn down the moment they ended filming, which means that sadly, many fans lost a chance to visit the iconic place where Forrest Gump, played by actor Tom Hanks, grew up and spent most of his life.
