On-Screen Sanctuaries: Exploring the Most Memorable Houses in Cinema and Television

The “Home Alone” House –  $1.58 Million

It has been almost thirty years since actor Macaulay Culkin tried to save his house and make thieves go away in the movie, Home Alone, which was released in 1999. Once the film was released, it didn’t take too long before the house entered history as one of Hollywood’s famed landmarks and made the McCallister home one of those cool mansions to live in. One fan actually got the chance to live there as he bought the Georgian style house located in the Chicago suburb of Winnetka, for the price of $1.58 million.
