It was worn by the late icon Audrey Hepburn, and Givenchy was probably her closest friend. The outfit is now considered to be a “Holy Grail” of the 20th century, and in 2006, one of the original pieces was sold at an auction for the massive price of $923.19K. However, everybody remembers Hepburn in it, and it is closely associated with Hepburn, who, unfortunately, passed away in 1993 after a long battle with cancer.
