Dries Mertens is a member of the national team of Belgium and the Napoli football club. The money Mertens received when he joined Napoli is said to be around $10.8 million. He was honored as the Belgian Footballer of the Year in 2016. Back in 2015, Mertens purchased an estate in Leuven which is called the De Dry Coningen. The estate is actually a hotel from the 16th century. And despite being quite old on the outside, it’s very modern in the inside. How much the purchase had cost them remains undisclosed.
