Michael Jackson – Thriller Jacket – $1.8 Million
In 1983, the music industry changed once and for all, when Michael Jackson released the music video for his classic tune Thriller, which instantly became the world’s biggest hit at the time. The Thriller jacket, which Jackson wears in the video, is now among the most recognized jackets, and many replicas of it were sold during the ’80s, still selling until now. It was designed by fashion designer Deborah Nadoolman Landis entirely for the video clip, and in 2011, it was sold for $1.8 million to Milton Verret at an auction. He sure wanted that jacket a lot!
