The gown was designed by Ralph Lauren and made Lupita stand out from the crowd that evening. She was already the star of the night, thanks to her role on 12 Years a Slave for which she won many awards, including an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. In 2018, Lupita starred in the superhero film Black Panther and she will appear in the upcoming horror film, Us.
