In April 1906, the world welcomed little Julie Montabord in the French territory of Martinique and no one could predict that she would still be alive as a validated French supercentenarian. Amazingly, Julie’s mother was also a supercentenarian who lived from 1881 until 1992! We can’t help but think that it must run in the family’s DNA; surely, it cannot be just a crazy coincidence! Julie lived and worked in Martinique before moving to the South of France along with her only son, Raymond. Yet, after her retirement, she moved back to Martinique.
