Tekla Juniewicz – 112
Last but not least, we are looking into Tekla Juniewicz’s life that spans over 112 years! Tekla is Polish. And not only is she the oldest in Poland right now, but she is also the oldest person who has ever been alive in her country’s history! Tekla was born in Ukraine in 1906. She got married in 1927 and gave birth to two daughters. During World War II, she moved to Poland and has been living there ever since, acquiring Polish citizenship. High education was not an option for her back then but she managed to graduate from the Sisters’ Szarytki convent.
