Este actor tuvo el papel de John Hammond en la famosa película Parque Jurásico y también en su secuela, ambas dirigidas por Steven Spielberg. Attenborough sufría de problemas de corazón y por eso llevaba un marcapasos. Tuvo un primer ataque al corazón en 2008. Seis años después, el 24 de agosto de 2014, falleció debido a una enfermedad de corazón, solamente 5 días antes de cumplir 91 años. Ganó dos Premios de la Academia en 1983 gracias a su trabajo como director y también productor de la película bibliográfica Ghandi
