An Astronaut’s Breakfast
Neil Armstrong’s breakfast before he headed to the moon in his legendary Apollo mission has been the subject of some debate. Users of Reddit circulated the photo on the left – of Armstrong eating a chicken leg and canned peaches (a weird breakfast if we ever saw one!) and claimed this was the meal he enjoyed on that history-defining day.
However, NASA recently revealed that the real breakfast was one of scrambled eggs, steak and coffee – shared with his fellow crew members, and members of the ground crew. It was clearly a tense morning, and one which they surely knew was going to change the world forever.
