Marlo Thomas (That Girl), 1966–1971

Actress Marlo Thomas rose to fame after she started appearing on That Girl back in 1966. Her performance in the show was so superb that she even bagged a Best Actress award during the 1967 Golden Globe Awards. Thomas is also known for being the brains behind the children’s entertainment project called Free to Be… You and Me, in 1972. Thomas is already in her 80s but it seems that she has no plans of fully entering retirement just yet. Gabe Kaplan (Welcome Back, Kotter), 1975 – 1979

Gabe Kaplan was very popular back in the 1970s for starring in Welcome Back, Kotter as Gabe Kotter. Kaplan was also known for the roles he had on Lois & Clark, Fast Break, and The Love Boat. During the late 1970s, Kaplan decided to get into the poker scene and this helped him grow his fortune in the bank. Kaplan reportedly won over $250K during the World Poker Tour back in 2004. He later joined GSN’s High Stakes Poker as a joint commentator and host. In 2018, Kaplan did voice work for the animated show titled, Bojack Horseman.
