Diahann Carroll will forever be remembered as the first black woman who was able to win the Best Actress award at the Tony Awards. Her performance on No Strings was what made her win the ward. On TV, Carroll is popularly known for starring as Julia Baker on the show called Julia. Carroll is truly an inspiring woman in Hollywood because she is another name who is a breast cancer survivor. Carroll’s last acting role was on The Masked Saint and she is set to appear in an upcoming TV documentary titled The Legacy: 75 Years of Blacks on Television.
