THE MOST MEMORABLE WWF/WWE STARS – THEN AND NOW

Virgil Riley Runnels Jr. AKA “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes – Died at 69

Dusty Rhodes gained fame working with the National Wrestling Alliance where he was a three-time world champion. He was most known for his charismatic personality rather than his physique as he did not look like a typical wrestler. Dusty Rhodes struggled with poor health in his later years and developed kidney failure at one point. In June 2015, he was taken to a hospital after he had fallen in his Florida home. Dusty didn’t make it and died the very next day. Both of his sons, Cody and Dustin, are professional wrestlers, too.
