THE MOST MEMORABLE WWF/WWE STARS – THEN AND NOW

James Reiher Snuka AKA Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka – Died at 73

Jamer Reiher Snuka (born James Wiley Smith) will be remembered as Jimmy “Superfly“ Snuka. During his time in the ring, Jimmy was credited for introducing the high-flying style to the WWF. His children are wrestlers as well. Snuka’s life was marked by the death of his then 23-year-old girlfriend Nancy Argentino. Nancy was found injured in his room in 1983 and died shortly after. However, Snuka was not prosecuted until 32 years later when he was charged with third-degree murder in 2015. James was deemed unfit for trial due to his deteriorating mental health and so eventually, charges were dismissed in January 2017. Snuka died twelve days later.

Paul Donald Wight II AKA Big Show – 48

Besides Big Show, Paul Wight also used the ring name The Giant in the WCW. The seven-time world champion Big Show also has quite an impressive acting career. He starred in a number of movies and shows over the years, including Star Trek: Enterprise and Jingle All the Way. You probably remember him from the comedy Knucklehead, where he had the lead role. His most recent movie acting stint was in 2016 action film, Countdown. Recently, Big Show shocked us when he lost 70 pounds, thanks to a strict fitness routine. Wight credits John Cena for motivating him to get into shape. He returned to the WWE in October 2018.
