Cliff Michelmore was one of the prominent names during the early days of British TV. He was known for having covered momentous events like the investiture of Prince Charles as Prince of Wales and the Apollo Moon Landings. He married fellow presenter Jean Metcalfe in 1950. She was then hosting Two-Way Family Favorites. They got engaged quickly after meeting and had two children during their marriage. When it comes to TV shows, he’ll always be remembered for his work on BBC’s Tonight. The cause of his death was never confirmed, but let’s just hope his estate had been taken care of.
