169. Ronni Chasen – GUNSHOT WOUND
Ronni Chasen was known for her work as a publicist. She started working for her brother but eventually founded her own PR company. She worked with names like Michael Douglas, Hans Zimmer, and Mark Isham. She also was the director of numerous Academy Award campaigns, including titles as recent as The Hurt Locker. As she was driving home from the Burlesque premiere on November 16, 2010, she was shot dead. A while later, authorities arrested a man named Harold Martin Smith. He was attempting to rob a store when he shot Chasen, without her being his target though.
