29. John Cazale – LUNG CANCER
The Godfather films launched John Cazale’s career, where he portrayed Fredo Corleone. Furthermore, movies like Dog Day Afternoon and The Deer Hunter showed the world how talented an actor he was. All of these films were nominated for the Academy Awards. He was a part of a good number of remarkable films and had also pursued a career in theater. But because of his battle with lung cancer, his life ended in March 1978. He continued to act after being diagnosed. Cazale’s then long-time partner Meryl Streep was with him when he passed.
