Chris Penn. who was known for movies like Reservoir Dogs and Pale Rider, was Sean Penn’s younger brother. Penn was often given roles about a pretty tough person or a totally comedic one. His talent was recognized and he won an award as Best Supporting Actor at the Venice Film Festival for his great performance on The Funeral. But when Chris turned 40 years old, he developed a heart condition called “nonspecific cardiomyopathy.” He died eventually in January 2006, but his doctors said that medication might have been a contributing factor to his death.
