Chris Hemsworth made the risky choice to leave his native Australia to pursue international stardom in Los Angeles. His decision has ended up paying dividends, with a starring role in the billion-dollar Thor franchise and generally in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. It gave him a personal fortune of about $70 million. Hemsworth’s riches have allowed the actor to leave L.A. for the comforts of home. In 2015, Chris spent $15 million on a piece of property in Australia’s Byron Bay that he later renovated to be a beachfront home for his wife and children.
