Whoever said that being an author isn’t a way to make money, clearly didn’t tell James Patterson, who is one of the highest paid (and one of the most successful) authors in the world. He earns an average annual salary of around $90 million, taking his net worth to a mind-boggling $750 million. We can’t imagine he just has that all sitting in his bank account, though, so no doubt his team of investment bankers and financial advisers all help consult him on where to spend his money to ensure that the financial security of himself and his family is completely sound.
