Former Child Stars You’d Never Ever Recognize On The Street – We Reveal Who Made It Through Childhood Successfully

Jodie Sweetin – Became A Drug Addict At 14

Jodie Sweetin is primarily known for her role as Stephanie Tanner on the TV sitcom Full House and it’s lately released spin-off series Fuller House. Unfortunately, the Olsen twins do not participate in the spin-off.

Sweetin was born in Los Angeles and adopted and raised by her uncle since both of her parents were in prison at the time. She had her first role in the show Valerie in 1987. In the same year Jeff Franklin cast her as Stephanie Tanner in Full House. After the show ended in 1995 she appeared in some TV shows – but none of them was really successfully. This is also why she became addicted to drugs.

She said that after Full House ended she was just really bored. at the age of 14 years she first started drinking alcohol and only a year later she used ecstasy, methamphetamine, crack and many other drugs. In her memoir called unSweetined she talks about her addiction and how much better she feels since she is sober. Thankfully, she is busy again on the set of Fuller House. Let’s hope she isn’t getting bored again when the spin-off end. Which eventually will happen.

In total Sweetin got married three times. First at age 20 to Police officer Shaun Holguin. Then again in 2007 to Cody Herpin who she has a daughter with and divorced in 2010.
