On-Screen Sanctuaries: Exploring the Most Memorable Houses in Cinema and Television

The “Sleepless in Seattle” Houseboat – $2.5 Million

Another iconic movie and a great location where it was filmed found a spot on the list, and it is no coincidence that Tom Hanks has portrayed the main character once more. The house is not actually a boat because it cannot sail, and the correct term for it is a floating house. This was where Tom Hanks’ character, Sam Baldwin and his son lived in at Westlake Avenue North in Lake Union. In 2014, the houseboat was sold for quite a hefty amount of money, $2.5 million to be exact after being rented out for a while.
